Medical Students’ Views Concerning Social Security System at their Institute

Introduction: Academic performance of learners is challenging as MBBS students' a result socio-economic, psychological and environmental factors. Socially secured education systems are growing profitable industry with prime goal to produce high quality which delivers well-educated skillful students, because institutions valueless without students. Objective: This study was carried out find students’ views on social security system for them in conveniently selected medical colleges Bangladesh. Methods: descriptive type cross-sectional at four over period one year from January 2021 December 2021. Convenience sampling technique adopted select the colleges. A self administered pretested questionnaire used collect data 200 purposively students who were present lecture or online classes day collection. The factors divided into: External Security Factors (Extracurricular activities, family & academic life problems, work financial, other problem-solving skills) Internal (Students’ competence aptitude, life, measurement, physical mental expectation, learning barriers modern technology threats). Results: Among total 116 (58%) male 84 (42%) female. Maximum (i.e. 95%) expect better both internal external factor. Moreover maximum expressed their regarding solving any problems direction administration highly expected when they problem stress. Conclusion: Study recommended that gap between internal, reality should be assessed meticulously addressed achieve outcome. Bangladesh Journal Medical Education Vol.14(2) July 2023: 10-17
